Backyard Campout

I don't have very many pictures of this evening, but it was so much fun. We just went and threw up some tents in the backyard of our good friends and had a family camp out. Minimal work for maximum fun.

After we played outside and made smores and all that fun stuff we brought the kids outside and showed them a patriotic video (This was around the 4th of July) and then my favorite part... a spontaneous singing party/talent show broke out. We started singing a few songs together, but then the kids started up individually to do solo's and group number and it was so sweet.

Andrew recently went into the bathroom and nearby Lizzy and I listened to him start emphatically making bird calls and hooting like an owl. When he came out we were giggling and ask him what was going on in there. He explained that he saw an earwig and his birdcalls were to scare it away.
