The Simple Life

Do you ever feel like life is flying by? Do you ever feel stressed? Do you ever feel like you're so busy running your life that you've forgotten to actually LIVE. Here is my solution:

Step 1: Forget about the laundry, what's for dinner, taking your car in, making dentist appointments for the kids, getting a baby shower planned, cleaning the bathroom, completing your Relief Society Report, finishing your latest craft and all other things on your TO DO list.
Step 2: Go to the park
Step 3: Play with your kids - even if it means racing cars down the slide for an entire hour.

additional note: If you do not have kids you may borrow mine in order to do this simple exercise.

Ahhh..... I'm feeling better already.

Or if you want advise from someone who is smart and actually knows what he's talking about try this great talk.

Let me know how it goes.

A Few of My Favorite Things

I know that you're lives have all been on hold... wondering where we've been the last month. (Come on admit it) But alas all is right in the world again because we FINALLY have internet service and I am ready to begin blogging again. It's been a busy month and I'm not going to try to recapture it all... but here are a few of my favorite things:

My 3 favorite things about our new home. In no particular order.
French doors from our bedroom out to the balcony.

A playroom. I tried to take the picture up high so that you could see less of the messy floor.

A laundry chute (the first time I wrote shoot... how embarassing).
A few other things that I love lately:

Lizzy's prayers:
She just says the best prayers lately that are so sweet and innocent and wonderful. Last night she prayed "Please bless the poor to have.... fun.... and to get some more money." I mean that really sums it up doesn't it? She is also quick to remember others like praying several nights in a row that Grandma's arm will feel better (it had a small bruise) or that Andrew's bum wouldn't hurt (that nasty diaper rash.) I love it.

Andrew talking:
Pretty much everything he says lately is funny. To Daddy, "Hey.. don't put me upside down... put me upside up!"
Last night he picked out a Halloween book to read. Lizzy immediately covered her eyes and said that it was too scary. Andrew proudly declared... "I not scared. I a boy. I brave."

Autumn time:

Okay that's enough for today. This blogging thing is exhausting. Have a great day.
