When You Wish Upon a Star......

You were all so right.  It was Disneyland.  Lizzy's picture must have given it away.  That was clearly Sam and I on a rollercoaster, Lizzy on the Dumbo ride, Dad on the tea cups, and Andrew at the Finding Nemo submarine ride.

This moment was Lizzy's dream come true. She got to play in Princess Tiana's band. Oh I wish we'd gotten a better picture because she was seriously glowing.
Andrew's favorite place was probably these water fountains in the Bugs Life area. They were fun but I really don't want them to be his favorite since we could have had that experience at Gateway Mall. Oh well. :) Actually.. I think he may have had another favorite. I didn't get a picture, but it was so awesome I just have to write about it so that I can remember. There was an experience called "Turtle Talk" that we just loved. It was Crush, the turtle on Finding Nemo. It was a large screen and Crush was on the screen, but he was controlled by an actor who actually made him move and talk like he was interacting with the kids. The second time we did it, Andrew was chosen from the audience to talk to Crush.

Crush: Hey little dude. So what's your name.
Andrew: Andrew (giggle)
Crush: Totally Awesome Andrew. So Andrew who brought you here?
Andrew: My Heavenly Father
Crush: What? Your Heavenly Father. Dude. That's awesome. I mean who's that sitting next to you?

The conversation went on for much longer, but that was my favorite part. Slightly embarassing, but I was smiley proud too.

Pirates.
The kids with Uncle Russ.  He lives nearby Disneyland and we were able to meet up for dinner.  Lots o' fun.
The kids with Aaron's cousin, Rochelle, who was the reason the trip actually happened. Her husband works for Pixar and they got us in for free. Yippee. Seriously I love these guys and we had so much fun together. Rogan's head also turned out to be a great place for Andrew to sleep after a long day.   Thanks again.
This is the Tower of Terror ride.  The kids didn't ride it of course, but the name instills terror in the kids now and we use it to threaten if necessary. (i.e. You two stop fighting or you'll have to go ride the Tower of Terror)  It was Aaron's favorite ride.  I'm glad I did it, but as you can see in the picture... it scared the heck out of me.
And that's the end.  We had a great time.  Now I just need a post-vacation vacation, because I'm exhausted.

How fun!!! I love all your pictures and remarks about the trip. And I'm still laughing over Andrew's reaction to the news of going there. SOOOOOO funny! Love the new pictures of the fam at the top of the blog! They are precious!

The Heavenly Father comment was so priceless. That is awesome. What a fun vacation. You are brave to embark upon it with your baby.

That sounds great, I'm glad you had such a great time. It took me forever to finish reading your post as my eyes were filled with tears from laughing so hard at Andrew's missionary moment. That's cool :)

Oh man, I laughed so hard when he told Crush his Heavenly Father brought him there, ahahahahaha, SOOOOOOOOOOOOO FUNNY and cute! And on my DL post, I looked EXACTLY like you in that tower ride. I hate it SO bad!! So glad you went, it's the most magical place on earth and even better if you're parents TAKING kids!!

What a fun trip! I love Andrew's conversation with Crush. Too cute. Another friend of mine just got back from Disneyworld and blogged about how being a mom with kids on trip is not really a vacation, but rather a "business trip." I totally agree, because although it is fun to go on these great trips with kids, it definitely isn't a vacation. You still have to be the mom and take care of everyone's needs. I say you for sure need a post-vacation vacation!

Where was Sam the whole time? He made it into the last picture, but that's it.

Looks like a great vacation. There are tons of new things since I've been.

How fun! Elsa loved looking at all the pictures with me. She and Olivia both want to go even more now. Olivia told me last night, "EVERYONE'S been to Disneyland!" :) Hopefully we can plan a trip after baby is born--if we went before I'd have to rent a wheelchair, preferably a motorized one. There is no way I could walk that much in my condition.

I loved A's interview with Crush as well. SO funny, must tell Anson.

And yes, even just our weekend trips to St. George are exhausting. A car trip to California can be downright painful (We've only braved that twice since moving up here!). You are wonderful parents!

I totally thought Disneyland before I saw this post, and before I read all the other comments. That is hilarious about him peeing in the garbage can! I love it. What a fun trip! Your kids are so cute!

I love Andrew's answer to Crush! So cute!! You should be very proud. How sweet is that. Great pictures--love the one of Andrew hugging Eeyore (hmm...no idea how you spell that) and falling asleep on Rogan's head.
