You've had a birthday - shout Hooray!!

Happy birthday. I can hardly believe Andrew is 2 already. He makes me smile everyday. I look forward to hearing his feet pitter patter into my bedroom each morning (even if I do cover my

head with the pillow). He calls me Mamam and pulls my hand until I get out of bed. His hugs and kisses are so sweet and sometimes I feel like I don't

deserve such a sweet little guy. He's learned so much over the past years and it is so fun to see him discover something new, like the giant punch balloons we blew up for his birthday. He seems to be always moving so fast to make sure he doesn't miss anything. My favorite new phrase that he has learned is "I did it." He says it all day long at every little accomplishment, whether finding a missing puzzle piece or putting on a shoe by himself. Andrew can be soothed out of any grumpy mood. Talking in a funny voice or tickling him always brings our favorite Andrew giggle. He and Lizzy love playing together and it is fun to hear Andrew say to Lizzy while motioning with his hand "mon Zizzy" (Come On Lizzy) He loves Barney and Elmo. They are so real to him - he got an Elmo phone for his birthday and the first thing he did was hold up his other presents in front of the Elmo phone so Elmo could see them while he told him what they were. He also loves cars, balls, balloons, helicopters and Chuck E. Cheese (which is where these birthday pictures are taken).

Andrew's many facial expressions are constant entertainment at our home. Here is a sampling of some great Andrew faces. (Okay one of them is a great Aaron face as he is holding his new little baby boy!!!)

Andrew recently went into the bathroom and nearby Lizzy and I listened to him start emphatically making bird calls and hooting like an owl. When he came out we were giggling and ask him what was going on in there. He explained that he saw an earwig and his birdcalls were to scare it away.
