Sam the Man

This is what is going on at our house every Tuesday and Friday morning without fail.  Can you guess what has him captivated?  That's right.  It's the garbage truck.  Can I just tell you that the garbage men around here are the nicest I have ever known.  Anytime they see him they wave and honk the horn.  I swear they seem so happy.  It almost makes me want to try out the job.

At a get-together with some friends, their oldest daughter had fun dressing Sam up and taught him to be a drummer.  He loved it.  And... he's pretty dang cute.

Garbage day is a HUGE deal for us as well. WE do have the best garbage men ever :)

I wish we had a happy garbage man. Cam likes to watch them too. One of the men who comes is somewhat happy and will occasionally wave. The other man is just about the biggest grump I've ever seen. On Monday, I took Cam out there, and he didn't see us. A can fell over and he had to get out and pick it up--whew...he sure did swear up a storm and we got a nice view of a full moon. Maybe he needs to meet a garbage man from Texas. Maybe he needs some hot chocolate. Who knows?
